District Governor Lion Neil Rutter |
Welcome to the Lions Clubs International 105SW site.
The 105SW District covers Cornwall, Devon and part of Somerset. We have over 1300 Lions members in 64 Clubs. There are clubs in cities, towns and villages that have been formed to carry out community service together with fund raising activities in friendship and fellowship.
Lions clubs are part of an International Organisation with over 1.3 million members, men and women, in 205 countries and geographic areas who work to meet the needs that challenge communities around the world – to quote Helen Keller, “Alone we can do so little; together we can achieve so much."
Lions throughout the world are working together to try to end preventable blindness, assist with the supply of aid in cases of emergency and generally to further the well-being of communities.
District 105SW is an excellent District with a fine record of service and we aim to always improve on our past. Thanks are offered to all those Lions who have agreed to be part of the District Team performing specialist activities, providing help and advice to Clubs
Good luck to all Lions who have accepted office for the coming year whether it is for Club, Zone, District or Multiple District.
If you are an interested member of the public, I hope this site may provide
you with a flavour of the work that Lions do together with fun and fellowship.
If you feel that you could devote a little of your time to assist these aims
then please use the site contacts and we will put you in touch with your local
Lions Club.
